Friends and fans, I am proud to announce the release of my new single ‘Fort Worth Saturday Night,’ which will also be featured on my upcoming album called Go To Texas.

As many of you know, I have recently been in the studio working on a brand new album which will be entitled Go To Texas. The album features many themes from the Lone Star State and tells the story of how they have changed over time. It will be one of my greatest works to date and I cannot wait to be able to share the finished product with all of you.

Similar to the industry for which Dallas “rad-dirt” band Oil Boom is named, this foursome, which consists of Ryan Taylor (guitar/vocals), Dugan Connors (drums/vocals), Steve Steward (bass/vocals) and Jordan Richardson (guitar/vocals), has experienced its share of ups and downs since its inception.

Keys Lounge has been a popular music institution in Fort Worth since it was founded in 1979. Despite being in its fifth decade of existence, this famous bar, which is owned by veteran bluesman Danny Ross, seems to be going stronger than ever.

In the studio, behind the scenes...last night it was time to lay down the lead guitar track on my new song, Ft. worth Saturday Night. This takes intense concentration and is like playing music under a microscope.

As recently as two years ago, Leon Bridges was washing dishes at Del Frisco’s in downtown Fort Worth. Since that time, he has blossomed into one of the most popular and dare we say refreshing new acts on the world music stage, earning himself a ride on several notable tours to go along with international fame, Grammy nominations and even a date with President Barack Obama to show off his incredible musical ability.

Fort Worth singer/songwriter Stefan Prigmore’s musical career has evolved a great deal since his days as a tag along with his father’s band, and he is now in the precipice of becoming a household name among fans of the local and regional music scene.

Now in its eighth year of existence, Fort Worth South’s “Friday on the Green” series is in line to deliver its best summer of free public entertainment yet!

From April through October this year, the monthly event will provide patrons from all over the area with an excellent atmosphere resulting from a combination of a stage featuring local music, several food kiosks set up by local companies, the all-new Magnolia Green Market with locally-made crafts and foods for sale, face painting and even a kid’s play area for parents looking to enjoy a night out.

Havana, Cuba is one of the most amazing places I have eve been. I was recently in Cancun, Mexico and on a sheer impulse I booked a tip to Havana. The flight is only an hour, and when I arrived, greeted by my taxi driver named Angel Perez, I knew I was in for an adventure. Angel was a native of Havana and has degrees in both Economics and English. We hit it off immediately; for the next five hours he gave a true insider's view of Havana that few people have the privilege of seeing. We drove all over and I was amazed by the ancient, crumbling, hauntingly beautiful city originally settled by the Spanish in 1514.

Layla – The song and the story behind it...

I have always loved this song and the intriguing story behind it.  Two musical legends George Harrison and Eric Clapton were inspired by and married the same woman, Patti Boyd.  Even though neither marriage was permanent, the lasting musical legacy is one of a kind.  To this day both of Eric Clapton’s biggest hits have been the same song---Layla. The first released in 1971 with Duane Allman on slide guitar, and again in 1994 as the MTV-Unplugged version.

My buddy Ken Cannizzo and I take a run at the unplugged version.
